I though this was a very good article from strong towns that gives some steps you can take to take ownership of your neighborhood. Great article! I could not agree more that we need to overcome the isolation of modernity. Luckily, there is a lot that can be done. My neighborhood, the Southside, has done a really good job of this and there is more to do. There are also many ordinance issues that can make a significant difference for saving our neighborhoods. One great thing is that creating community makes working on the ordinance stuff a lot easier. Another great thing about building community is that it can be very enjoyable. Thanks for posting this article.
